One For The Moment Junkie

One For The Moment Junkie

It’s always been about the moment for me. In fact you could easily call me a moment junkie. I live for them. In life, and through the lens. To me, a true moment is a moment at it’s peak, and even better yet, a moment at it’s peak with layers of other moments. Refer to the image here. In the foreground we have the couple completely alive in the moment. At the same time we have numerous people in the background engrossed and connected to the very same moment. These are my favorite types of images to capture. This is like hitting the jackpot for me, the grand slam, the momentous maximous! Now add on the fact that the little girl just happened to knee-jerk the same expression of embarrassment, for her own reason- or maybe the brides, is just plain awesome! And yep, that’s the brides father in the distance laughing along too.

Engagement Pictures – Randi + Ross

Engagement Pictures – Randi + Ross

Wow what a story we have to tell about Randi and Ross. After we were all booked and set to shoot their engagement pictures at Middleton Plantation, Randi calls the morning of the planed shoot day and says “Hey, it looks like it supposed to rain, do you think we’ll be okay to shoot?” I reassured her that it’s always very temporary in Charleston and even if it does, it will pass quickly. Post Wedding Pictures – Heather + Ryan

Post Wedding Pictures – Heather + Ryan

Heather and Ryan called us recently about doing some post wedding pictures all dressed up in their wedding day attire! I love these types of shoots. I get to photograph couples looking just as fantastic as they would on their wedding day but with a lot more time to be creative. We actually were not their wedding photographers. Apparently they were a bit disappointed that they did not get what they were hoping for as far as portraits on their wedding day. And they wanted to remedy that.

Senior Pictures – Bett

Working with Bett was fantastic! When it comes to our senior portraits we want to create photographs that include the interest’s and ideas of that senior. These elements help us define and capture this time in their life. This may include their choice in clothes, hair style, favorite colors, accessories, and even the locations for their photo shoot.

Engagement Pictures – Salli + Nick

Engagement Pictures – Salli + Nick

Salli and Nick are one of those couples you can immediately tell truly love, respect, and appreciate each other. They were completely at ease around us, and once I developed the trust that the poses I was suggesting look more natural than it may feel, we were set. Then it was just about finding their moments together and capturing how they feel about each other. Here is a variety of their engagement pictures.

Children Portraits Studio Pictures- Lisa

Children Portraits Studio Pictures- Lisa

When Lisa walked into the studio we couldn’t help but just smile. Even though the studio is always set for portraits, I’m never sure what back drops, colors, or props I’m gonna use until they walk in our door. Once I see them, I immediately decide based on the colors and type of clothes they’re wearing what I’m going to start with. I just loved her pink dress and silver shoes. So I decided to go with a monochrome look for her portrait.
